My Walgreens deal

I made a huge score at Walgreens today. I am very proud of this one. My hubby couldn't believe it either! Here is the break down for you.
  • 2 Bumblebee Tuna $0.69 with ad coupon, used a $1/2 MQ
  • 1 Theraflu $3.99, used $2 IP and got a $4 RR when you also buy tea bags (net $0.99 for both!)
  • 1 Lipton tea bags $2.99, no coupon but when bought with Theraflu above you get a $4 RR as mentioned above (net $0.99 for both!)
  • 2 Neosporin lip care 2/$8, used (2) $3 RR and received a $3 RR when you buy too. Net is $1 moneymaker
  • 1 FruitLoops $1.99, used $1 MQ
  • 8 Planters nuts sale $1.99, used (4) $1/2 MQ and $1 on each Walgreens coupon from the Diabetes and You book- net $0.49 each
  • 1 Reese's egg $0.50 with ad coupon

I used a $4 and $2 Register Reward and then my out of pocket total was $7.68 with a coupon/ad savings of $50.77!! Plus I also got $7 in register rewards. That's almost even! Love it.

In case you didn't notice, there is a big sale on Pepsi products, buy $20, get a $10 RR. It makes for a great deal on soda and chips ~ if that's your thing. I know I will be making another trip this week.

This sounds familiar.....

Wow, it seems like I have said this a lot this year. But....sorry for the lack of posts over the past few days.

Last weekend all 3 of my kids decided to have this "stomach flu" thing that has been going around. Mind you, they took turns with it the little darlings.

Things got back to normal until Thursday when I got it. Finally feeling better by Saturday and woke up this morning to the sounds of my hubby being sick in the bathroom. What a sound to wake to!

Anywho, I hope we are getting back on track so I can get back to the website. I did go grocery shopping, but I avoided the 1 day meat sale at Pierce's. I just couldn't face it on Friday. I heard it was a madhouse in there!

If you get this stomach thing, rest assured it is over within 12 hours, except for the muscle aches from all the vomiting.....those will stick with you for a couple days.

Be well.

Piggly Wiggly Ad

Hey folks. I just noticed in the Poynette/Pardeeville Pig ad on the bottom of page 4 it says "we take internet coupons up to $2 value".

If anyone is around that area and could check it out, let me know. My last known info was that they did not take internet coupons. This could be big!

Email me with the info so I can keep everyone updated. Thanks.

Free Lightbulbs

Here's a great freebie reminder (thanks Vicki). Single bulbs are on sale at Ace hardware this week for $1. Go to coupons.com and print a coupon for $1 off. That means the bulbs are free!

A great time to stock up on some bulbs this week!!

Ace Hardware in Portage will take internet coupons as well!

Walgreen's goodies

Made my weekly run to Walgreens yesterday and thought I'd share what I got!
  • 2 Hellmann's mayo $2.99 sale, used $0.75 MQ
  • 1 Colgate toothpaste $2.99, used $1 MQ and got $2 RR- net FREE
  • 3 Kotex tampons 3/$9, used $1/2 MQ and got $4 RR- net 3 box for $4
  • 2 Trash bags $2.99, just an awesome price in my book
  • 2 Lysol toilet cleaner buy one at $2.79, get one free. used $1/2 MQ to get both for $1.79

My out of pocket was $23.24, with a coupon/ad savings of $15.66. Plus I still have $6 RR that I earned. The total is a little higher than I would like, but I am happy with the deals. I could have done 2 transactions in order to lower my out of pocket, but I didn't.

The Kotex are a really good deal. What I should have done was buy 4 boxes for $12 and used 2 $1/2 MQ to have a total of $10 out of pocket. Then you will receive 4 RR and when all is said and done you would have 4 boxes for $5....Only $1.25 per box. I may have to go back and do this deal myself!

I just wanted to review what our menu plan for the month is. I put this week in bold. I am so happy to have the entire month planned out. It makes is so much easier to know that I have everything in the house to pull these meals together. I would highly recommend trying to meal plan for an entire month!
